As of this month, Contracts Advance has added wider functionality, allowing it to provide you with Current tender opportunities as well as Advance information on contracts and frameworks. This allows our clients to have all their tracker needs under one roof saving subscriptions costs and time and allowing more time to be focussed on winning public sector work. This month saw the launch of our a new subscription site, Contracts Advance, to the market. Its purpose and aim is to challenge the way the market addresses winning public sector work. Our tool provides contract information 6+ months out from contract end thereby allowing our clients to influence at the pre-bidding stage and submit more successful bids. 7House was part of the judging panel, for its fourth year in a row, for the PWC South West Business of the Year Awards held in Bristol on 20th June. The finalists in both the over and under £25m categories are fed through in to the national finals later in the year.

The Reform Bill was passed last week on the 20th March and with that we will continue to see the efficiency agenda become ever more prevalent, from supplier engagement through to point of care delivery. Our health informatics specialist explores in this newsletter – Business Process Outsourcing in the NHS - the climate for outsourcing in the ‘new’ NHS and points to consider when engaging with the local health economies.

The summer recess has been anything but quiet for the DH and the CCP as both have issued key guidelines and recommendations for the Any Qualified Process (AQP). Our newsletter for August covers off the key themes of the Operational Guildelines to the NHS (published on the 20th July) and the Co-operation and Competition Panel's recommendations for AQP which strengthened the overall policy position on competition and choice (published on the 28th July) - see link opposite for key recommmendations.

Following the Government response to the NHS Future Forum, we thought it might be an idea to keep you informed of its key themes to ensure you can see the likely direction of travel. Our overall assessment is that whilst things are being phased and slowed down and changes made to reflect the 'listening process' - the reform continues to move on around its core areas. 7House has seen a rise in the interest around public sector bidding post the Comprehensive Spending Review (CSR) introduced by the Coalition Government earlier in October this year.

Craig Millhouse - "since the CSR we have started to see our existing client base review the likely volume of work from its core Central and Local Government areas of revenue and determine whether a) is it worth it? b) will a different approach yield better results? In addition, some of our clients who have not traditionally been in this space are looking at it more closely due to the opportunity being presented by the wholesale shake-up and consolidation of frameworks."

Whilst each course is bespoke, we focus on the following core areas:
